We combine some of the best roads in Australia, with lightweight Lotus cars renowned for their handling.
We offer a bucket list opportunity for driving enthusiasts; on our trips you’ll spend 2 – 3 days exploring our roads made famous by Targa Tasmania. Just fly in and fly out, Drive Experience Tas will look after the routes, cars, food, accommodation, and any other needs you’ll have.
Our goal is to create the most memorable automotive holiday experience possible. Our mission is to provide an blend of unique cars, amazing driving, action packed activities with Tassie’s fine food.
How it works
With Drive Experience Tas, we offer 2 and 3 days fully inclusive trips starting from our base south of Hobart. You can come alone or bring a partner or friend as a passenger. We usually cover around 250km of driving each day, and the designated driver will rotate time in every car, learning the unique traits of each individual Lotus before experiencing the next one.
You will have your own comfortable accommodation each night and you will enjoy great Tasmanian food throughout the day.
Each day also has a highlight activity, ranging from go karts, quad biking, kayaking or even a scenic bush walk – which is flexible depending on the group.
We pride ourselves on the “fly in, fly out” nature of our trips, there’s no extra organisation, no logistical challenges that you’ll face once you are here. Once you’ve booked your trip with us and the flights yourself, all you need to think about is enjoying the cars and driving – we’ll look after the rest.
We’ll recommend which flights you book and ensure you are collected from and returned to at the airport at the appropriate times. Note that those coming from WA and SA may have greater transit times without direct flights being available to Tas.
Our most popular “2 day” experiences start with you flying into Tasmania Friday afternoon / evening, then flying out again Sunday evening. When an additional “track day” is selected, this would usually occur on the Monday, so would mean returning home Monday evening.

At Drive Experience Tasmania we pride ourselves on the “fly in – fly out” nature of our trips.
We know our customers are busy people, so once they book, we like to make their job as easy as possible.
From the moment you land in Tasmania you needn’t worry about anything as our team will look after the rest.
We recommend you bring everything you’ll need in a light bag / suitcase (carry-on luggage is a best fit for a Lotus), however larger suitcases can be accommodated in our support vehicle.
Your package price includes:
- Drive experience in 6 different Lotuses over the trip
- Breakfasts, morning teas, lunches, and dinner for the days of your trip
- Moderate alcohol in the evenings, including Tassie wine, beer and whisky
- Private accommodation for arrival night (in Hobart) and during the trip (East Coast)
- All fuel and associated vehicle costs
- Comprehensive insurance cover in all the vehicles
- Tour leader, support staff and group chef
- All “experience” costs, ie Go Karts, Quad Bikes, Sea Kayaking etc

- Cost of flights to and from Tasmania
- Additional snacks, extra alcohol, and souvenirs etc. while in Tasmania
